I’m not sure what’s going on this shipment of current models! We are talking about the Otto Club models of November those included models are the notorious website crashing Focus RS in ultimate Green and other cars such as the Laguna and a few others.
Normally, I get an email from Otto-Mobile and that states that my order has been despatched, Then I get an email from Chronopost (DPD network) saying they have the parcel and its on the way to Customs then onto UK where DPD contact me saying they have a parcel and nowadays they send an invoice for the import duty, which gets paid and a few days later I have the delivery.
Not so much this month (currently December 2021), I saw another collector on Facebook asking if anyone had heard anything about orders bring delivered, some had had their parcels some had not, one person suggested checking the DPD app which I did and there was my parcel currently on its way from France! But DPD hadn’t yet received it in the UK. This is most unusual. I logged on to club Otto and see they they haven’t even entered a tracing number and the order isn’t even showing up as shipped!
One concern that I have is will the I get a text from DPD with the link to pay the Import Duty, if not we know what happens DPD send back the model to France and we all know how that ends. I know the models are on the way, but with so many steps missed by Otto-Mobile does DPD have a way to contact me?
Let me know if you had your delivery, is your Otto account updated to say shipped, have you not had your model or did it turn up out of the blue with no communication along the way? I’d love to hear your experience?
Update. After a quick email to Otto-Mobile a tracking number was given and the the account page was updated with the tracking number, all good and I expect those delays with the 4000 Ford Focus RS models didn’t help them too much!
so if your still waiting get in touch with Otto-Mobile sales and they should get back with a reply within a few days.
