Straight out of the box..
One of the first resin models that I acquired, this LM edition Skyline GTR is finished in a Silver, fixed axle wheels , made of resin. Otto models are believe it not almost a budget brand as these retail at 59.90 Euros which for the subject matter and quality is only 20-25 euros off a Maisto Design model.
In detail the exterior.
Despite the lack of opening features, the exterior of this model is very well detailed, with the triple vented bonnet, whilst not mesh still gives an effect of mesh. the rear window sports the heater elements and a small Nismo Pro Arms sticker. The body kit widens the Skyline considerably and makes the model sit very low and aggressive. ~Round the front of the model the lights are well done with proper lenses and depth to them, side lights and indicators are sunk into the front bumper, The front bumper is deep and wide with the center vent showing an intercooler protected by mesh, the vents either side are just textured. The number plate sports NISMO GT-R LM graphics.
Round the rear of the model you’ll find the familiar Skyline rear lights but sunk into the rear arches , the rear sports a big rear diffuser with twin exit exhausts. Oddly the boot (trunk) sports a standard GT-R spoiler which actually suits the model but I expected a bigger rear wing! The blade of the rear wing is finished in black whilst the ends are silver matching the bodywork. A small aerial stub is located in the rear quarter panel which is a nice detail.
Finally the wheels on this model are amazing, behind the wheels sit a metallic disc brake with calliper. The wheel is a 5 spoke split rim with all the tiny detailing for the split rim bolts, a gold center hub nut and a blue band on the outer of the rim. The wheels are finished in gloss black.
In detail the interior space.
As the model is sealed then the interior isn’t as accessible as an diecast opening model, the interior is okay but not on par with the AutoArt’s of the day (a good reference is the AA Mazda RX7 tuned version). So that in mind the moulding is good and sharp but most of the dash is the same colour, however the seats are nice with a Nismo center print on them, Rear speakers on the parcel shelf are a nice nod to extra detail. The instrument clocks are there in sticker form they are detailed enough to look good, in front of the clocks is the 3 spoke Nismo steering wheel to finish off the interior
Verdict?
