Straight out of the box..

The very first resin model that I bought from Otto-Mobile website, It was bought directly from Otto-Mobile’s website. When it arrived I took it out the box and I was pleasantly surprised, I half expected the quality to be relative to the price paid for it £55 (roughly), it however, was far better than I could have expected. The Model is very well moulded and nothing on it looks in proportion and the paint is really good, the interior is not as good as maybe high end models or older Kyosho or AutoArt models but because its sealed you cant really get to up close and tactile with the interior.

In detail the exterior.

Finished in in Bright Yellow paint work (sunlight yellow) with carbon fibre affect bonnet decal. The front bumper has a black splitter which works well with bonnet and black wheels, behind the Spoon Sports number plate is the radiator (could be an intercooler but the standard Integra is a NA engine so I am going out on a limb!) The front grille has been de-badged.

Moving around the side of the model the stance of the car is just perfect even though the wheels are probably more like standard sized, the side sports an Advan and Spoon graphics. The wing mirrors are also finished in carbon fibre matching the bonnet. Both front and rear screens have the Spoon Sports in large print.

The rear of the Integra sports the same Spoons Sports number plate, a small sticker under the embossed ‘INTEGRA’ writing. The spoiler is the normal spoiler for the Integra and a nice touch on the exhaust is the slash cut design of the exhaust tip. The rear lights are really well done and look perfect, with both depth and lens texture.

On all four corners you’ll find the 5 spoke wheels finished in satin black with red wheel bolts, compared to other models the wheels are smaller with a larger size profile tyres fitted however they are tucked nicely under the arches giving the car a slight rake, which for the lines of the car only compliments its stance. Behind the rims the ‘Teg’ sports blue callipers with a minuscule Spoon decal fitted , the calliper sits on a metallic effect disc brake.

In detail the interior space.

A nice interior on the Spoon Sports DC Integra, which shows some red racing bucket seats, I wonder what blue seats would have looked like, seeing as the cars running the Spoons Sports blue theme? That aside the seats work really well with the yellow paintwork. The clock detail is amazing you can see the speed increments and the odometer, the 3 spoke steering wheel has a raised look Honda emblem, dash detail is good and finished with chrome gearstick.

Verdict?

This Honda Integra model is a great addition if like me you collect JDM cars or a devotee of Honda cars of the late 90’s, overall another good effort from Otto-Mobile and for the price point is a great model to have and its not white! This Otto still suffers from flimsy side and front windows I say this every time but it really is the only thing from making these models transition from good to great.

Pros:

  • Great value for money
  • Exterior paint is very good
  • Good interior

Cons:

  • Very delicate windows
